The 4K ultra-high-definition convergence media broadcast studio (342㎡) , which was designed and constructed by ST VIDEO, was delivered to use to Xinjiang Television. The convergence media broadcast studio adopts the design concept of “ convergence media, convergence live broadcast, multiple scenic spots, multi-function and process-oriented”. Based on the purpose of program packaging, the convergence media broadcast studio focuses on stage design and integrates all aspects of broadcasting, television, communication and IT media technology, can realize the functions of multi-source collection, multimedia interaction, multi-scenic space sharing, multi-platform transmission and distribution, etc.
The Xinjiang traditional broadcast studios are small in size and the scenes are relatively single. During the program recording, the host sits in front of the desk and broadcasts the news, the background and camera position remain unchanged. Now the newly-designed studio co-opted the design ideas of the variety show hall, it has large area, multiple scenic spots and multiple cameras, which greatly expands the space for multi-directional interaction of the program.
This newly designed convergence broadcast studio is mainly divided into two parts: the studio area and the director area. The structural combination and spatial layout have been carefully designed, which maximized the existing space utilization and keeps the camera placement most flexible, can use for all kinds of tv programs.
The studio area was divided into news report area, interview area, stand broadcast area, virtual blue box area and other parts. Among them, the news broadcast area can realize one person broadcasting or two person broadcasting simultaneously, and also possible to realize multi-person interviews and discuss thematic events.
In the stand broadcast area, the host can stand in front of the large screen to broadcast and interpret various pictures, texts and videos. The news title, keywords and video playback from the background LED large-screen create a good news broadcast environment for the host. The host interprets the pictures, texts and data, performs in-depth processing of the news and forms a two-way interaction with the big screen. Through the large screen in the broadcast studio and the host’s interpretation, the audience can better understand the news events and background information.
The virtual blue box area presents a super wide space in a limited area, brings richer information and visual impact to the audience by combining with virtual graphic elements.
In the studio area, guests and audience representatives can be invited in according to the demands of the program. In addition to the host and the big screen, the audience, on-site reporters can also interact with guests and audience representatives. This panoramic interactive studio design has improved many shortcomings in the conventional studio program production.
