The world's third Red Dot Design Museum recently opened in Xiamen. This is the exclusive Red Dot Design Museum in the world, followed with Essen, Germany and Singapore, which is an integration of the three Red Dot Design Award Winning Works of "Product Design", "Design Concept" and "Communication Design".
"Red Dot Design Museum·Xiamen" was transformed from the original Terminal 2 of Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. It is mainly composed of exhibition space, Red Dot Design Salon, Red Dot Design Academy and Design Library. It exhibits the world wide most influential "Red Dot Design Award" winning awards.
There are three Permanent Exhibition Halls and three Special Exhibition Halls. One of the most special Permanent Exhibition Hall is hung located on the second floor, with the aircraft fuselage and nose of the former Soviet Union An-24 as the exhibition space. Perfectly preserve the "World View" exhibition hall of China's first-generation civil aviation cabin, while providing various pioneering cultural + technological exhibitions.

In the "World View" Exhibition Hall, in order to increase the interaction of science and technology, a full-view LED Floor Display is provided by ST VIDEO. It is targeted for ground display, which is gone through with the special treatment in aspects of load-bearing, protective performance, and heat dissipation performance, ensuring its high-intensity pedaling and shelf life.
On this basis, an induction interaction function is enabled. The LED Floor Display is equipped with a pressure sensor or infrared sensor. When a person steps on the floor screen, the sensor can sense the position of the person and feedback it to the main controller, and then the main controller outputs the corresponding presentation after a computing judgments.
In application of the Exhibition Hall, it can not only display the content of the video screen, but also track the movement of people, and can follow the activities of the human body to present real-time screen effects, so that the audience can walk by with various real time effects such as ripples, flowers bloomings, etc.. It greatly increases the technological interaction of the exhibition hall.
The initial round of the "World View" Exhibition Hall will cooperate with SKYPIXEL, to share the world's outstanding and shocking drone photography works.
